Like it or not, life happens. If you are in a season of difficulty, it might just be God's plan. In this very powerful and encouraging message, Pastor Phillip Mutzelburg from Australia will take you on a journey of discovery. You will learn that not every season lasts forever!

There will be NO evening study this week. Instead, we encourage you to join us for the Concert of Prayer that will be held in the Youth Chapel at 7:00 p.m. Our 10:00 a.m. study, "Connecting With God," will be held as usual.

  • HOME GROUPS: Mondays: 6:30 & 7 p.m., Tuesdays: 6:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays: 6:30 & 7 p.m. The Bulletin Board has more information on each group.
  • HFA CHOIR: Will be practicing at 5:00 p.m. in the Conference Room today.

  • MOVE FOR LIFE 5K/WALK FUNDRAISER: Sponsored by the Harrisonburg Pregnancy Center next Saturday, April 12. See the poster on the bulletin board for details or speak to Diana Kiser if you would like to sponsor a participant.

CONCERT OF PRAYER AND FASTING: Please join us this week, April 7-13, for a time of prayer and fasting for our nation, our church, and our families. We will be gathering together as a church family for prayer in the Youth Chapel on Wednesday, April 9 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Come with a spirit of expectation and excitement as we pray for God's will to be fulfilled through His church.

MESSIANIC PASSOVER SEDER: Thursday, April 7 - 7:00 p.m.
The Seder is a customary Jewish meal that involves a re-telling of the story of the children of Israel's liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt. During this meal, we will be able to see the parallels between the Israelite's deliverance and the deliverance provided to Christians by the Lamb of God, Yeshua, Jesus our Messiah. This is going to be a shared Seder, so please bring a dish to pass. We ask that you bring no pork (ham, bacon, etc), no yeast (bread, rolls, croutons), and no shellfish (shrimp, scallops, etc). There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board at the back of the Sanctuary. If you have any questions or need suggestions as to what to bring, please call Lois Paul at 249-1815, or email her at sewsporti@yahoo.com.

Hebrews 10:25 gives the command in no uncertain terms: "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Not only is Christian fellowship in a local church good for our emotional health, it is essential to our Christian commitment.
